Hello Friends and Family,
So if you are viewing this blog you are an important person in my life and I want to be able to update you on all the events that are and will be happening with my second diagnosis of Breast Cancer. Yep, I know, this SUCKS!!!! Yes this is why I had the surgery so I wouldn't have to go through this again but here I am. Yesterday, the sermon was about enduring struggle. The pastor said "You can't have a Testimony without a Test. Otherwise, it's only a TestiPHONY!!! (LOL I thought that was so funny!) So I know that God has something AMAZING in store for me! Ok back to my news.
The week before I left VA, I was diagnosed with a Left Axillary Tumor (under my arm). I met with my oncologist in VA and he came up with a plan and put it all down so that I could take it to a new oncologist. Upon coming here I was referred to an oncologist here in the Dallas area and met with her last week. She had almost the same plan after reviewing my scans and records. He set me up with a surgeon who I see tomorrow. I had a PET scan today, the radiologist says that I should only be radioactive until about 4pm so hopefully I'm good but I have been wanting to just sing RADIOACTIVE! all day! LOL My oncologist (from this point on referred to as Dr. McIntyre, I mean that is her name) should have results in the morning. She would like me to start chemo on Thursday but waiting on insurance verification and port placement. Last time I had my 1st chemo without my port but I will be able to answer more questions after my Chemo Class tomorrow I am required to take. This should be interesting. So that is all the news I have at this time but check in tomorrow for more info. I will do my best to keep you up to date on all my adventures in ChemoLand and the adventures that follow, like Surgery State and Radiation World.
Oh, that's right, some of you may not know, I have moved to the Dallas area. I am looking for a new place, currently staying with my wonderful cousins who have graciously opened their home to me. Having only been here a week and a day, I can't say that I love it yet. As those of you who have read this blog before knows I am often all over the place but after reading you will be pretty well informed and usually entertained.
So! Thank you in advance for your prayers, good thoughts, great vibes and telepathic hugs and kisses! Thanks for all your support through this difficult time and feel free to email (suthrnbella@gmail.com), call, text or Facebook and I will get back to you ASAP, just know that your ASAP and my ASAP my be totally different. LOL
Smooches!
